Challenges and GoalsThe current challenges facing all African Countries is the electricity crisis, and unemployment. Main focus includes, end load-shedding by end of 2026, job creation for an equal wage and according to qualifications
Using a Central Inverter with a Rated Capacity of 5MW each, as it’s the 2nd largest available, gives the lowest cost/W and is easier to maintain/service. Each Inverter comes with Switch Gear, & Transformer, at the size of 40’ Sea Container and is 24.000Kg heavy
The choice of using 5MW Central Inverters and not several smaller, is because under optimal conditions, the panels can produce more that the rated capacity. The Central Inverter & Transformer are designed to handle up to 200% of Rated Input Power, but the smaller Inverters are only designed to about 125% of Rated Power, so overheating is less
of an issue with larger central inverters
